Wednesday Night Race update

(Thursday, June 18th, 2009)

Last night was what it’s all about, a beautiful sunny evening with a strong southerly breeze. This enabled the Sonar Class to have a very tight windward leg with close tacking and many lead changes. After turning the corner off Chebeague it was a great ride back with a few waves to surf on. The PHRF class was also out with a great turnout and very close racing. When it was all over only seconds separated the top boats at the finish.  Let’s hope we have a few more nights like last night!
