Membership Information:

Harraseeket Yacht Club founders envisioned a small, ‘do-it-yourself’ local club.  Except in unusual circumstances, only applicants who live in Freeport or demonstrate community ties, will be considered for membership. In addition to the community ties, applicants must demonstrate an interest in boating, a strong willingness to contribute time to the Club activities and have a strong respect for the club’s objective which follows:

“The objective of the club shall be to encourage and promote the sport of boating and the science of seamanship and navigation particularly for instruction to the youth of this area and to do all things necessary or incidental through volunteerism to the accomplishment and fulfillment of said purposes.”

Active club membership is limited to 250 persons, primarily because of the limited size of the facilities.  There is currently a long waiting list for membership but we encourage interested people to begin the process early.
